Honda had its best year ever in 2007, with VFACTS figures released showing the company sold 60,529 cars — a rise of 11.7 per cent over 2006.

December’s result of 4,605 put the company comfortably ahead of the 2006 result of 54,202.
Honda’s market share for 2007 is 5.8 per cent – an increase of 0.13 per cent over 2006.
2008 also promises to be an exciting one for Honda as the company aims for 70,000 sales — smashing the record it has just set — with the launch of the new Accord, Euro and Jazz.

Star performers for Honda in 2007 were the Civic (17,643), CR-V (12,642), Jazz (11,663) and Accord Euro (8,274).
“It’s wonderful to see another record result,” said Honda Australia Managing Director and CEO Yasuhide Mizuno.
“I’d like to thank all of our customers, dealers and employees who helped Honda to a fifth consecutive sales record.”
